Laila Kennedy, trainee solicitor at Ledingham Chalmers, has been elected president of the Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association (SYLA) for 2022-2023. Ms Kennedy, who has served on the committee for five years, was elected following the association’s AGM.

The Scottish Young Lawyers' Association and European Young Bar Association have partnered for this year's Spring Conference. Due to take place in Glasgow last year, the conference was postponed due to the pandemic. It will now take place on 14 May 2021 between 12pm and 4pm UK time via Zoom.
The Scottish Young Lawyers' Association will be holding its annual general meeting at 6pm on Thursday 27 May 2021. The meeting will be held via Zoom. All SYLA members are welcome to attend, however, to allow for distribution of Zoom details, all attendees are required to sign up in advance.
