The investment follows more than a decade of sustained growth across Scotland and provides enhanced facilities for colleagues, clients and business partners.

The new Edinburgh office at 9 Charlotte Square has increased from 3,061 sq ft to 5,553 sq ft and provides 53 desks, up from 33 previously. The office includes expanded meeting, collaboration, wellbeing and breakout facilities, with a particular focus on creating high-quality client-facing spaces.

Kennedys has operated in Scotland since 2015 and today advises clients across insurance and reinsurance, casualty, healthcare, professional indemnity, local authority, historic abuse, data protection and disease litigation. The Scottish practice supports insurers, reinsurers, insureds, corporates, healthcare providers and public sector organisations across Scotland and beyond.

The growth of the Scottish practice is also reflected in the continued development of its people, with Stephen Hill and Tracy McKenzie, both part of Kennedys’ liability defence division in Scotland, promoted to legal director.
