Terra Firma Chambers’ Scott Blair will chair CLT’s Licensing Conference on Thursday 7th October 2021. The virtual event, part of CLT’s Scots Law Autumn Series, will consider the numerous challenges faced by the licensing industry over the past 18 months.
The conference will not only consider some of the key issues that have arisen but also seek to learn from the solutions put forward. Scott and a panel of licensing experts will consider a range of questions including:-
- How do you advise in times of crisis?
- What lessons can be learned from a review of legal challenges to Covid-19 restrictions on licensed premises?
- What is the future of occasional licences?
- What are the rules and conditions for delivery of alcohol and when is a delivery, not a delivery?
- What is the likely impact of the short-term let proposals?
- What are the current key civic government issues?
- In addition to chairing the event, Scott will also present an update on recent licensing cases and upcoming appeals to look out for.
