Raft of promotions at Jones Whyte

Jones Whyte has announced its largest-ever round of promotions, with 20 team members stepping up across legal and business support services, including four new partners.
A specialist in road traffic accident claims, Amy Kelly has been promoted to partner following her leadership and a strong track record in resolving complex and disputed cases. She appears regularly in the Sheriff Court and ASPIC.
Michael Jeffries is also promoted to partner, leading one of the firm’s largest teams handling road, cycling and pedestrian claims, with extensive experience in high-value and contentious cases.
With over two decades of experience in family law, Morven Douglas has also been announced as a new Jones Whyte partner. She advises on all aspects of the family law discipline, including pre-nuptial agreements, division of matrimonial property, cohabitants’ claims and child law matters.
Lynsey Brown, also a key member of the family law team, is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in both family law and child law. She is dual qualified in Scotland and England & Wales and has extensive experience in complex financial cases, including those involving business assets, cryptocurrency, pension sharing and maintenance.
Five team members have been promoted to senior associate: Rebecca Devine and Ryan Morton (bereavement), Iain Leiper, who recently completed the Lawyers for Children Certification Course (family), Matthew Currie (dispute resolution), and Roisin Gunn (trust management). Anna Bruce (dispute resolution) and Nicole Brodie (clinical negligence) have also been promoted from senior solicitor to associate.
Six solicitors have been promoted to senior solicitor: Kaitlin McKie (conveyancing), Kirstin Harkness and Ramsay Kershaw (road, pedestrian and cycling injuries), Jennifer Watson (bereavement), Carli Cooper (clinical negligence), and Allana Henderson (family).
Sonia Malia has also been promoted to senior paralegal within the road, pedestrian and cycling injuries team.
