Terra Firma Chambers has announced that Kenneth Young has joined the stable, having called to the bar today.

Mr Young has experience of a broad range of civil litigation, with a particular interest in real estate disputes and all types of public law.

Prior to calling to the bar, he trained with Brodies LLP, working within their public law and real estate litigation departments. Latterly, he was the firm’s dedicated advocacy trainee and he appeared regularly in the sheriff courts.

He graduated top of the year in the graduate LLB programme, tutors in civil law at the University of Edinburgh and was a Lord Hope Scholar at the Faculty of Advocates in 2021/22.

He said: “With my focus on public law and real estate litigation, I am excited to be joining Terra Firma where these areas are such outstanding strengths. Working with Emma and her team, I look forward to upholding the stable’s remarkable reputation for providing excellent service to agents and clients.”

His devilmaster and Terra Firma stable director, David Logan, said: “Kenneth has been an excellent devil with a keen interest in the law and the commercial realities of the matter. He will be an excellent and welcome addition to TFC.”
