Maurice O’Carroll, advocate at Terra Firma Chambers, has been appointed a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).

Mr O’Carroll is a highly experienced advocate, specialising particularly in the fields of town and country planning and employment law.

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) is a leading professional membership organisation representing the interests of alternative dispute practitioners worldwide.  The CIArb has three different grades of membership (Associate, Member, and Fellow) depending on skills, knowledge and experience.

Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIArb) is one the highest grades of membership of the most-recognised organisation of its kind in the world.

Emma Potter, practice manager at Terra Firma Chambers, said: “This Fellowship is recognition of Maurice’s knowledge, commitment and the culmination of a great deal of hard work. Mr O’Carroll is also an accredited mediator, member of the Faculty of Advocates Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel, a legal associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a founder member of the Faculty of Advocates Employment Law Group.
