Gibson Kerr ushers in 2019 with new recruits

Gibson Kerr has recruited three solicitors and two support staff and promoted a paralegal to trainee solicitor, bringing its staff portfolio to 15.

The firm, which operates from two Edinburgh city centre locations and specialises in personal law, family law and property, is led by its three partners Scott and Fiona Rasmusen, and Lindsay Maclean.

The new solicitors are Caroline MacBeath and Sue Anne MacAulay, who have joined the family law team, and Katie Marshall who will work in the personal law department.

Louise Clark has been promoted to trainee solicitor in the property department while Helen Jackson has joined as practice manager and Ann Burton as a legal secretary.

Ms MacBeath, who joined from Legal Services Agency, and Ms McAulay, who was recruited from Drummond Miller LLP, are both experienced family law solicitors, while Ms Marshall, an appointment from Somerville & Russell, advises on all aspects of private client work. Ms Clark joined Gibson Kerr as a paralegal after completing her diploma at Aberdeen University.

Mr Rasmusen said: “The new burst of appointments means we can continue to offer a highly affordable, high quality service to clients – and provide the grounding to underpin the further growth of the firm.”
