Addleshaw Goddard has recruited two new partners in Scotland, joining its employment and construction teams.

Ingrid McGhee joins the firm from Weightmans where she was head of employment in Scotland, while Stacey Cassidy joins from TLT where she led the Scottish construction team. Both will be based in Addleshaw Goddard’s new Glasgow office at 155 St Vincent Street.

Ms McGhee is a highly skilled specialist with over 20 years’ experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law. She provides expert guidance, representation and advocacy across disciplinary and grievance procedures, all areas of discrimination, dismissal, redundancy and the employment tribunal process.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Addleshaw Goddard, a firm with a strong brand and real ambition for growth in Scotland. AG’s national and international reach creates an exciting platform for expanding the employment team’s profile and offering. AG’s leadership in innovation is another major draw, and I’m excited to play a part in shaping that for clients. This is a firm with real momentum, and I’m delighted to be joining at such a pivotal moment.”

Ms Cassidy is a transactional construction lawyer, with a focus on real estate development and investment. She brings extensive experience advising clients across the full development lifecycle and asset classes, including living, office, retail, logistics, and hotels, coupled with a strong track record in the building safety arena. She is dual-qualified in Scotland and England & Wales and advises on all aspects of transactional construction matters north and south of the border.

She said: “It’s great to be joining Addleshaw Goddard’s real estate and construction team. The firm has an outstanding platform across core development markets – from Build to Rent and PBSA to major housing, commercial and regeneration projects – and I’m excited to contribute to that. There is real opportunity in the current market for those who collaborate and take a joined‑up approach, and that’s exactly what AG is known for. I’m looking forward to working closely with colleagues to maximise client opportunities, support growth and help drive forward the firm’s ambitions in Scotland and beyond.”

Alan Shanks, head of Scotland at Addleshaw Goddard, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stacey and Ingrid to the firm. Both bring outstanding expertise which complements our growing real estate, construction and employment teams. In Glasgow in particular, their arrival builds on the impetus created by our new office and our expanding footprint across the west of Scotland.”
