Boyd Legal appoints Kelly Matthews as associate in Kirkcaldy

Boyd Legal Solicitors announced the appointment of Kelly Matthews as an associate at the firm’s new Kirkcaldy office.

Ms Matthews brings over seven years’ experience in a range of different corporate and commercial matters, ranging from asset sales and purchases and equity investment to company re-organisations and shareholder and partnership agreements.

She joins the firm from Russel + Aitken in Falkirk, where she also acquired commercial property skills.

She will now operate from Boyd Legal’s new location at 1 Townsend Place and help to deliver a bespoke, locally-focused service to clients.

Ms Matthews said: “I was excited by the opportunity to work with Boyd Legal in their continued commitment to the people of Kirkcaldy, following the merger three years ago. The investment in the new offices emphasizes that pledge to Fife.

“I’ve worked for a broad range of clients across a number of sectors which I feel stands me in good stead for this new role.

“I’ll work alongside consultant solicitor Peter Aitken in my new position and assist clients in all commercial and private client matters.

“The experience I’ve gained with clients ranging in size from start-ups to established and recognizable names, means we’re well equipped to provide the tailored service underpinned by local knowledge that people are looking for.”

Peter Boyd, managing director of Boyd Legal, said: “We pride ourselves on being a family law firm; one large enough to offer high quality service and levels of expertise, while retaining a personal touch for our clients.

“That’s why Kelly’s appointment is so exciting. She combines a wealth of knowledge with a personality than ensures clients won’t feel overwhelmed when she’s working for them.

“We will offer a first-class service at an affordable price, while our central location means people can easily find us or we can get to them with our home/business visit offering.”
