The Criminal Justice Committee is seeking views on the Prostitution (Offences and Support) (Scotland) Bill. The bill, introduced by Ash Regan MSP, targets those who buy sexual services by creating a new criminal offence of paying for a sexual act.
Alba MSP Ash Regan has lodged her Prostitution (Offences and Support) (Scotland) Bill at Holyrood. The bill would criminalise the purchase of sex, repeal offences that target the seller, quash historic convictions, and create a statutory right to support for those in and exiting prostitution.
