Legal & Compliance Assistant (Full-time)

To assist the delivery of the wide ranging and varied legal and regulatory compliance functions within the Club to support all aspects of the organisation. This will include general administrative support, legal and regulatory filings, contract management, training, brand protection, ad-hoc project work and internal and external stakeholder liaison.

Key accountabilities will include:

Legal & Compliance

• Provide daily administrative and general support to the Company Secretary & DPO and Company Solicitors, to include;
• the monitoring of inboxes
• coordination and tracking of contract review and information requests
• Maintain current legal and regulatory filings and records
• Manage certain contracts and internal processes (to include Retail and Brand Protection)
• Assist in the monitoring of policy compliance and training, where relevant
• To carry out relevant research and assist with ad-hoc project work, where required
• Proactively develop effective and efficient methods and tools to assist the Legal and Compliance team
• Deliver advice and support in a professional, confident and user-friendly way
• Promote, develop and maintain effective and trusted working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels

• Ensure all communications with colleagues is professional, appropriate and considerate of individual needs and circumstances
• Actively build and maintain positive working relationships with Colleagues across the Club, ensuring a collaborative approach is adopted at all times

Skills and Experience required:

Essential

• At least 2 years’ experience working in a demanding legal administrative environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Clear understanding of confidentiality and discretion
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong IT literacy skills (MS365, SharePoint, Excel, etc.)
• Professional approach to work
• Collaborative working

Desirable

• A law degree or equivalent qualification/experience
