About Albyn
Albyn Housing Society serves an ever-growing number of communities in the Highlands, providing good quality, affordable housing for thousands of people across the region. For over five decades Albyn has listened and responded to the views of its customers, local government, communities and businesses in
meeting housing needs in the Highlands.
The Highlands faces a significant housing challenge, with an estimated 24,000 new homes required over the next decade to support population and economic growth, including opportunities arising from Green Freeport status. In response, Albyn’s Board took a strategic decision in 2024 to develop over 600 new homes over the next five years, positioning the organisation to play a leading role in addressing this demand.
We are a customer-focused, forward-looking organisation driven by a culture that places our tenants at the heart of decision-making, supported by a commitment to inclusion, accountability and continuous improvement.
Our teams consistently strive not only to meet, but to exceed, the standards set by the Scottish Housing Regulator, while enhancing the quality and accessibility of services for the nearly 4,000 tenants we look after. This ambition, combined with a clear focus on tenant outcomes, makes Albyn an organisation where Board members can make a meaningful contribution as we continue to strengthen performance and deliver the best possible services for our communities.
