Yvonne Evans appointed head of Dundee Law School

Yvonne Evans has been promoted to head of law at the University of Dundee.
Ms Evans joined Dundee Law School in 2013 and is famed for making tax law a highly popular elective subject. She is a qualified solicitor and and specialises in trusts, succession, charity law and tax law.
She said: “Sarah has given us tremendous and unwavering support and leadership during the most challenging times. I personally couldn’t have had a better role model for stepping up. After 13 years at the university, it is a privilege to become head of law.
“I am very proud to be a member of the Scottish legal profession and I care deeply about the law and legal education. I look forward to supporting colleagues to produce impactful research, from the regulation of undersea cables right through to the legal effects of time dilation in deep space travel!
“I will seek to develop our partnerships with Dundee alumni, law firms, legal tech companies and other institutions, and to prepare our students to be capable, flexible and resilient in the evolving legal landscape.”
