Lindsays has welcomed a new cohort of trainee solicitors.
The seven-strong intake started work with the firm this week. They have taken up posts across a number of departments in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee. Their arrival takes the number of trainees currently with the firm to 15.
They are: Matthew Sheppard, Prath Chandrarajah, Alexander Fraser, Susannah Buchanan, Hannah Rhodes, Ayla Asif and Kirsty McLeod.
They are the first to be welcomed to the firm by new managing partner, Andrew Diamond.
He said: “Continued investment in the talent emerging within the Scottish legal profession is critical. We have a well-earned reputation at Lindsays for the quality of training that we provide.
“We pride ourselves on the professional development we offer our lawyers at all stages of their careers.
“But, particularly with our trainees, we ensure they gain a solid grounding not just about the law in practice and how it impacts on lives and businesses, but also from the people-first focus that we have on all of our work at Lindsays.
“With that ethos – and the opportunities we work hard to create – it is no coincidence that many of our Partners have been with us since they were trainees.”
As well as the new intake of trainees, four lawyers who have completed their traineeships with Lindsays have now secured permanent positions with the firm.
They are: Dylan Ackerley, Scott Briggs, Michael Higgins and Jennifer Philip.
