Thorntons welcomes 16 NQs

Thorntons has welcomed 16 newly-qualified solicitors across its Dundee, Edinburgh, Forfar, Glasgow and St Andrews offices.
The group includes 11 individuals who successfully completed the firm’s two-year traineeship programme, alongside five who have joined the firm from other practices upon qualification.
Of the 11 who trained with the firm, four are based in Edinburgh: Ian Sargison and Ross Faulds, who have joined the commercial litigation team, as well as Sam Anderson in commercial real estate and Frankie Cusack in corporate.
In Dundee, Donald Thomson has joined the corporate team and Lauren Pirouet has joined the private client team.
In Glasgow, Lucy Hennessy has joined the corporate team and Gary McPhail has joined the commercial litigation team.
Forfar has been boosted with Kirsty Barron in the family team and Wiktoria Wisniewska in the private client team.
Georgia McNaughton has joined the St Andrews office in the private client team.
Joining from external firms are Edinburgh-based Gillian Barron in land and rural business, Iqra Qadir in residential property and Rachel Lawson in intellectual property; Jeff Jacob in corporate insolvency in Glasgow; and Annsia Nabi in employment in Dundee.
Frankie Cusack, who joins the corporate team in Edinburgh, said: “Training at Thorntons has been an incredible experience. From day one, the team made me feel supported and trusted to take on meaningful, client-facing work.
