SEMLA to host networking event in Edinburgh

SEMLA (Scottish Ethnic Minorities Lawyers’ Association) is hosting an evening of networking, conversation and connection on Wednesday 16 September at Brodies LLP’s office at Capital Square in Edinburgh.

The event brings together legal professionals from minority ethnic backgrounds and allies from across the profession to create new connections, share experiences and explore how we can support greater progression and representation at senior levels within the legal sector.

As part of the evening, colleagues from Brodies’ Business Development team will lead a short interactive session on career progression, networking and personal brand development, sharing practical insights on building professional relationships, raising your profile and creating opportunities for career growth.

The session will provide an opportunity to reflect on the role that networks, visibility and personal development can play in supporting career progression, while recognising the barriers that can exist for some individuals within the profession.

The evening will also include informal networking and refreshments, providing an opportunity to connect with legal professionals from across Scotland, exchange ideas and expand your professional network.
