SEMLA and Brodies team up to offer virtual work experience

SEMLA and Brodies LLP are collaborating to offer virtual work experience to two students.

The collaboration will offer two student members the opportunity to undertake a week’s virtual work experience between 16-20 August 2021.

The week is designed to provide a snapshot of life at Brodies. The successful students will get the opportunity to work with one of Brodies’ specialist teams, alongside some of Scotland’s leading lawyers, be involved in interesting and challenging work and expand their knowledge through the completion of a valuable research project.

Full support will be available throughout the week, with a dedicated mentor and buddy on hand to provide guidance on allocated work. They can also answer any questions that the students may have about the firm or the wider legal profession.

How to apply?

This opportunity is open to current LLB and diploma students.

Interested students should e-mail their application to Usman Tariq of SEMLA at usman.tariq@advocates.ord.uk with the subject title “Brodies Work Experience”.

The application should consist of a CV and a statement of a maximum of 200 words explaining why you are keen to gain work experience with the firm.

The deadline for applications is Friday 16 July 2021.
