RCCW’s charity committee were delighted to handover a cheque for £25,600 to Friends of Roxburghe House following two years of fundraising.

RCCW staff tapped into a range of skills and talents to raise funds for the charity. Sporting activities included the Kilt Walk, the Great Aberdeen Run, Baker Hughes 10K, Balmoral 10K and a North East cycle covering 75 miles visiting all of the firm’s branches in Aberdeen, Banchory, Ellon Inverurie and Stonehaven.

Those with culinary skills supported two bake offs to support the firm’s efforts. Other staff members took part in an annual quiz, with further funds raised through Burns’ Night, Halloween event and Christmas events.

Head of the firm’s charity committee and commercial property partner, Heather Stephen, said: “Roxburghe House is a charity that is very close to my heart, due to the support and care my mother received whilst there. The services they provide to patients and their families from across the North East are invaluable and we were delighted to be able to help support their work.”

Callum McDonald, managing partner, added: “RCCW staff have enthusiastically participated in a wide range of activities both within the firm and locally to raise funds for a highly regarded local charity that provides a much needed service for the community. Their combined activities demonstrate how team work can deliver outstanding results.”
