Ralph Sayer turns services into lifeline for abandoned pets

Solicitor and estate agency Ralph Sayer has launched a year-long partnership with Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home (EDCH) to raise thousands for animals in need.

Launching this month and running for a year, the firm will turn everyday legal services into life-saving help for pets, with initiatives designed to make giving easy for clients.

The first campaign, Pack & Give Back, encourages clients moving home to donate unwanted household items such as towels, bedding, and unopened pet food. These essentials will go directly to EDCH to provide comfort and care for animals at its Portobello shelter.

A second initiative, Stamp of Approval, Paw of Support, offers free notary and document witnessing services in exchange for voluntary donations to EDCH. Suggested contributions are £50 for standard notarisation and £20 for simpler certifications, with 100 per cent going to the charity.

Kimberley Mackay, partner in Ralph Sayers’ private client department, said: “EDCH is an incredible charity, for more than 140 years they’ve provided care, comfort and love to animals that have been abandoned, surrendered or simply had nowhere else to go.”
