Raft of appointments at WJM

Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM) has bolstered its team with 12 new hires.

Four senior associates and a further eight new faces have joined the firm, which recently combined with Davidson Chalmers Stewart.

In Edinburgh, Brittany Thomas joins as senior associate in the family law team, bringing significant experience in cross-border matters. She was one of only a few Scottish solicitors to complete a specialised traineeship in family law and has worked in the field ever since, with a wealth of expertise in financial provision of divorce and separation, contact and residents disputes, and cohabitation.

The Edinburgh team also welcomes Mhairi Foye who joins as senior associate in the firm’s planning team. She brings extensive experience in acting for developers, individuals and public sector bodies on an extensive range of planning matters.

Meanwhile, in Glasgow, Susan Currie has joined the conflict resolution department as a senior associate. She assists clients at the earlier stages of disputes, from before proceedings are raised through to enforcing orders, and all the stages in between.

Chris Agnew has also joined the family law team as a senior associate. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the intricacies of the legal aid system in Scotland and is accredited by The Law Society as a specialist in child law.

Elsewhere, Eden Cameron-Perry joins the conflict resolution group as a solicitor, while Caitlin Giblin also comes in as a legal administrator in the family law team in Glasgow.

In other appointments, legal administrators Sarah Hogg and Stephanie Mitchell have joined the Inverness team.

In terms of support teams, WJM has added four new faces across their Edinburgh and Glasgow offices with credit controller Angela Rao, senior legal cashier Nicola Gemmell, facilities co-ordinator Fiona Chapman and front of house assistant Katherine Lorimer all joining the team.
