Balfour and Manson has promoted both Martin Lavery and Robin Grace to associate.
The new announcement follows a raft of new appointments in August to manage a rising workload in the firm’s private client department.
Mr Lavery works mainly in the firm’s Glasgow office, which opened in March.
He joined the firm in March 2021 and deals with a wide range of private client work, advising on and preparing wills and powers of attorney and handling the administration of deceased persons’ estates, as well as guardianship applications and renewals.
He said: “I’m delighted to be promoted to associate as part of our growing team. I really enjoy private client work, especially assisting people through difficult times; I always seek to provide assurance to clients at vulnerable times in their life by helping them arrange their affairs.”
Mr Grace, who joined the firm in 2024, said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at the firm and I’m very pleased to be promoted - and to continue my work in helping people plan for the future and keeping things simple during difficult times in their lives.”
Graeme Thomson, head of private client, said: “Martin and Robin are highly skilled and greatly valued members of the private client team and well-deserving of their promotions.
“In addition to the recent raft of appointments, their promotions will help us continue to respond to rising demand for our private client services effectively.”
