New appointments for Balfour and Manson employment team

Mr Mayberry, who was previously at Shoosmiths, is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in employment law.

He has worked in a variety of industries, with a large number of clients in hospitality, charities, sports and manufacturing. His experience extends to all types of claims in the Employment Tribunal, along with defending claims in the Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal.

He trained at Turcan Connell and has also worked at Digby Brown, Ellis Whittam Limited (now WorkNest) and employment law specialists LexLeyton, which was taken over by Shoosmiths in 2021.

“Simon is a hugely talented and highly experienced employment lawyer who will be a real asset to both the employment team and wider firm,” said Elaine Motion, executive chairman of Balfour and Manson.

He is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and a board trustee of Carr Gomm, a large Scottish care charity.

Ms Howard worked for specialist employment firm WorkNest before joining Balfour and Manson at the turn of the year.
