Changes to Friday morning calling times for summary cause and simple procedure business at Paisley Sheriff Court have been approved by temporary Sheriff Principal Mohan.

From 8 January 2027, all Friday summary cause and simple procedure business will be assigned for 9.30 am, with the exception of proofs, which will continue to be assigned for 11.30 am.

The adjustment is designed to remove the downtime regularly experienced between the Friday morning rolls and is most likely to affect Incidental Applications and Minute for Recall of Decree.

The changes were proposed by Matthew Coffield, owner and director of MJC LAW as the Paisley Faculty of Procurators’ representative on the Court Consultative Committee. Mr Coffield put forward Faculty members’ views on making the timetable more efficient. He raised the issue at the recent meeting, securing a positive change to the Friday morning calling arrangements.
