Jones Whyte secures over £2m for clients who suffered botched hair transplants
Jones Whyte has successfully concluded proceedings on behalf of 48 clients who suffered harm following hair transplant procedures at KSL Hair Clinic in Glasgow, recovering in excess of £2 million in damages.
The claims were raised in Glasgow Sheriff Court, where the volume of actions arising from the procedures led Sheriff Principal Anwar to introduce a dedicated practice note — among the first of its kind in Scotland — to support the court’s handling of these complex medical negligence cases.
Settlements varied significantly depending on the severity of harm suffered by individual clients, with a number of clients recovering in excess of £100,000, and the majority receiving settlements in the range of £40,000 to £80,000.
Dominic Ritchie, partner at Jones Whyte, said: “These clients came to us having suffered not only physical harm but significant psychological distress. Many had undergone procedures they hoped would improve their confidence and quality of life, only to be left with results that caused lasting damage.
“Securing meaningful compensation for each of them individually has been a privilege, and we are proud that the firm was able to see these complex cases through to a successful conclusion for all 48 clients.”
