In her new role, Ms Malcolm will be responsible for leading the company’s legal function and supporting the business across a range of legal, regulatory, commercial and governance matters.

Prior to joining iomart, she was head of legal, offshore wind for global renewable energy developer BayWa r.e.’s offshore wind business.

Ms Malcolm, who currently serves as vice-convener of the Law Society of Scotland’s In-house lawyers’ Committee, said she was “keen to continue to use my time on the committee to promote and support the breadth and depth of fantastic in-house lawyers we have in Scotland which currently make up approximately one third of lawyers in Scotland”.

She added: “I am very excited to be joining the business at a time of significant growth and innovation within the technology and cloud services sector.”
