Family Law Matters have welcomed Zaynab Al Nasser, who has been appointed as a legal director with the specialist family law firm.
Ms Al Nasser brings a wealth of family law experience. She has practised exclusively in the field of family law for over 12 years, advising individuals on a range of matters from complex and high-value financial provision claims to various child related matters including child contact and relocation cases.
Beyond her legal practice, she previously served as a president of Scottish Women in Business, and is currently a trustee of Young Speakers Scotland and lay advisor to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Ms Al Nasser is also certified by the Law Society of Scotland as a trauma-informed practitioner.
Karen Gailey, partner at Family Law Matters Scotland, said: “At Family Law Matters, our aim is to make a positive difference to individuals facing the challenges arising from relationship breakdown. I have followed Zaynab’s career closely over the years and I’m absolutely delighted that she has joined our team, delivering tailored advice and excellent service to clients, with her own personal touch.”
Marisa Cullen, also a partner, added: “Zaynab is a fantastic addition to our growing family law firm, her experience and track record in family law in Scotland is outstanding. We can now expand our specialist family law services and provide even more clients with not only our specialist family law advice but also the empathy and kindness that our family law clients have grown to expect from us.”

I have enormous respect for Karen and Marisa, and look forward to contributing to the firm’s reputation for delivering high quality and truly client-centred advice and support.”
