Event: First semi-final of Sheriff Principal’s Mooting Competition

The first semi-final of the 2026 edition of the Sheriff Principal’s Mooting Competition will take place on Wednesday.
Teams from The University of Glasgow and Glasgow Caledonian University will compete in a moot presided over by a distinguished sheriff. The teams will be made up of two first or second year law students from each institution.
The two teams that win through to the final will compete in a moot on 27th May 2026, also at 5:30 pm, presided over by Sheriff Principal Anwar.
Attendance is free and all practitioners and law students (whether participating or not) are very welcome to attend all of these events. Each session will be followed by a drinks reception.
