RFPG's Creativity in the Law Showcase returns next year

Thursday 29 April 2027 marks the hugely anticipated return of The Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow’s popular talent showcase: Creativity in the Law.

Set to be the largest iteration of the exhibition yet, a call for entries from creative legal professionals and law students is underway. Open to both members and non-members of the RFPG, the event welcomes anyone working or studying in Scotland’s legal sector with a creative passion to share.

The RFPG invites SLN readers, working or studying in Scotland’s legal sector at any stage of their careers, to get involved and let their creative spark shine. Whether a hobbyist painter, keen crafter or budding musician, the event is a fantastic opportunity to share your creative side with your peers, network and enjoy an evening of entertainment.

Past Creativity in the Law events (free to attend) have included a vast array of multi-disciplinary works (photography, paintings, sculptures, video game demonstration, bookbinding, resin dice sculptures and stained-glass pieces, to name a few), all displayed proudly within the RFPG’s Faculty Hall.

Performances equally displayed a diverse range of talents, from acoustic singer-songwriters to string quartets and operatic renditions. The limits are endless and, however niche your talent may be, the RFPG looks forward to receiving your submission.

The event will also raise funds for Shelter, supporting the charity’s work to tackle homelessness and housing insecurity.

To get involved, simply email the RFPG at library@rfpg.org with your note of interest either as an artist, exhibitor or performer; the team will be delighted to hear from you.
