Event: ESG Investing – Political Ambition and Practical Reality

The Embassy of Switzerland in the UK and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, in conjunction with the Edinburgh Tax Network and Terra Firma Chambers, will host a high-level panel discussion on “ESG investing - political ambition and practical reality: how can professionals and trustees support the Green agenda?” on Thursday 9th June 2022 in Parliament Hall, Edinburgh.

The event will feature an introduction by Ambassador Markus Leitner and keynote address by the Rt. Hon. Lord Drummond Young, followed by a panel discussion with Q&A on the complex interplay between legal, regulatory and economic considerations around ESG-investing and sustainable finance.

Registration will commence at 5.15pm with talks from 5.30pm to 7.15pm. The evening will conclude with a networking reception with Swiss wines and canapés.

The seminar has been accredited by the Faculty of Advocates as contributing 1 hour 45 minutes of CPD for its own members and is eligible for a similar award from the Law Society for the solicitor branch of the profession.
