Employment Tribunal judges appointed

The Lord President, Lord Carloway, has made three new appointments of salaried employment judges.

The new judges are:

  • Lesley Murphy – 1 March 2024
  • Jacqueline McCluskey – 1 April 2024
  • Eleanor Mannion – 1 September 2024

Judge Susan Walker, president of Employment Tribunals (Scotland) said: “I wish to congratulate those who have been appointed. They all have specialist expertise in employment law and valuable experience from their time as fee-paid Employment Judges. I am delighted they will be joining the salaried Employment Judges based in Glasgow.”

Lesley Murphy has practised as a solicitor since 2001 and has specialised in employment law throughout her career. She has been sitting as a fee paid judge in the Scottish Employment Tribunals since 2020 and was also cross assigned to sit in Employment Tribunals in England and Wales between 2021 and 2023.

Jacqueline McCluskey has practised as an employment solicitor throughout her career. She was appointed as a fee paid employment judge in 2020.

Eleanor Mannion qualified in the Republic of Ireland in 2009 before converting her qualifications and enrolling as a solicitor in Scotland in 2011. She has worked across both the private and public sector throughout her career.
