Emelia Conner to run London Marathon in aid of RNLI

BTO trainee Emelia Conner is running the London Marathon this weekend to raise funds for the RNLI.

She said: “This is a charity close to my heart as my grandpa was an avid supporter of the RNLI, my brother Scott currently volunteers with the Tighnabruaich Lifeboat and I’ve enjoyed many family holidays in North Berwick at our house next to the lifeboat station there.

“For anyone that knows me they’ll know that I usually hate running but in training for this challenge I’ve been surprisingly enjoying it. My motivation for completing this challenge is the thought of celebrating my dad’s birthday who would be turning 60 on 11 April and my grandpa who would have turned 80 recently.”
