Edinburgh lawyer sets off to deliver ambulance car to Ukraine

An Edinburgh lawyer has set out on the adventure of a lifetime today to raise money for Ukraine.

Andrea Fraser, a solicitor at JUSTICE, will deliver an ambulance car to Ukraine before turning around and cycling over 1,000 miles back home to Scotland.

She is undertaking the journey in order to raise funds for urgent medical equipment for pregnant women and babies across Ukraine.

She said: “Since the 24th of February, I have been privileged to work alongside incredible individuals and organisations who are going above and beyond to ease the suffering of innocent men, women, children and animals in Ukraine.

“Few more so than Baby Lifeline, a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the safety of pregnant women and babies.”

Ms Fraser is flying to Krakow today where she will pick up an ambulance car donated by Baby Lifeline and driven to Poland by a fellow Scottish volunteer, along with a trailer packed full of essential emergency supplies for animals. Over the following 48 hours, she will meet with her Ukrainian partners who will oversee the delivery of the car, trailer and aid to the frontlines.
