Dr Jade Kouletakis joins Law Society's Intellectual Property Law Sub-Committee

Dr Jade Kouletakis

Dr Jade Kouletakis, lecturer in Law at Abertay University, has been nominated by the Law Society of Scotland to join its Intellectual Property Law Sub-Committee as an academic expert.

Dr Kouletakis, whose membership will begin on 1 July for a first term of three years, has taught intellectual property Law at Abertay University for almost a decade and has won a number of student-led awards.

She was recently an invited keynote speaker at Oxford University’s Intellectual Property Discussion Group where she spoke on her new book, Decolonising Intellectual Property Law: An Afrocentric Approach, and Cambridge University’s Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Law where she spoke on her article, Decolonising Copyright: Reconsidering Copyright Exclusivity and the Role of the Public Interest in International Intellectual Property Frameworks

Dr Kouletakis is also a peer reviewer for the European Journal of Law and Technology, The Journal of World Intellectual Property and South African Intellectual Property Law Journal.
