Climate law book nets Thomas Muinzer SLS nomination

Dr Thomas Muinzer
An Aberdeen law academic has been shortlisted for a prestigious Society of Legal Scholars (SLS) prize.
Dr Thomas Muinzer, reader in energy transition law at the School of Law, is in the running for the 2025 Margaret Brazier Prize for Outstanding Mid-Career Scholarship in recognition of his book, Major Cases in Climate Law: A Critical Introduction.
Climate law has emerged more recently than many other established branches of law, yet it is fast becoming one of the most discussed and studied areas of law around the world. The book introduces readers to major rulings from around the world that centre on climate change as a core focus.
The winners will be announced at the SLS Annual Conference Dinner on Wednesday 3 September at the University of Leeds.
