Catriona Torrance has been promoted to partner in the private client team at Balfour and Manson.

Ms Torrance qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and has specialised throughout her career in private client work, including wills, powers of attorney, succession planning, and trusts.

She originally joined Balfour and Manson in 2015, bringing a wealth of experience following a career transition from financial services marketing to law.

She rejoined Balfour and Manson in 2023 after a three-year period at other firms. Her work includes handling complex and contentious estates, personal injury trusts and supporting vulnerable and elderly clients through collaborative work with our client support manager.

David Short, chairman at Balfour and Manson, said: “Catriona is an excellent private client solicitor, and is well-known for building long-term relationships based on trust and understanding. We are thrilled to welcome her to the partnership. Catriona’s promotion is well-deserved and reflects her dedication, expertise, and compassion.”

Ms Torrance said: “I’m delighted to become a partner at Balfour and Manson. I am proud to be part of a team that provides bespoke personal services to clients and goes the extra mile for them - something which the firm always prides itself on.”
