Burges Salmon has reported an 11 per cent increase in turnover from £178 million to £197.2m for the financial year ending 30 April 2026.
Profit per equity partner was £616,000, compared with £660,000 in 2024/25, total profit increased from £63m to £63.5m, while net profit was £53.1m compared with £55.5m the previous year.
The results come as Burges Salmon begins the delivery of its new 2026-31 Strategy, which builds on the momentum of the firm’s previous strategic cycle and reinforces its distinctive position as a high-quality UK independent law firm.
In recognition of its people’s ongoing major contribution to this continued growth and strong financial performance in the 2025/26 financial year, Burges Salmon has awarded a firm-wide bonus of three per cent of annual salary.
Burges Salmon continued to see strong performance across a number of its priority sectors during the year, with particularly strong growth in technology, transport, defence, energy & utilities and built environment.
The firm also made further investment in technology and AI during the year, including the continued use of Harvey and the development of firm-wide digital capability. This forms part of the firm’s practical approach to technology, using AI and digital tools to enhance the quality, efficiency and impact of its work, while maintaining the expert-led service for which the firm is known.
Roger Bull, Burges Salmon’s managing partner, said: “These results reflect another year of strong revenue growth for Burges Salmon and the continued strength of our sector-led approach, our client relationships and the quality of work being delivered across the firm.
“We have continued to invest with confidence in our people, our clients, our technology capability and the future of the firm. That investment is central to our long-term strategy and to ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality, expert-led advice for our clients.
“Our 2026-31 Strategy is not a reset. It builds on the momentum of recent years and sharpens our focus on the areas where we believe Burges Salmon can genuinely lead as a high-quality UK independent firm, with deep sector expertise, strong client relationships and a distinctive culture.”
