Blackadders recognised as top digital and IP team

Blackadders LLP has been recognised as Scotland’s best digital and intellectual property team of the year.

The firm took the title on Friday at the Herald’s 2025 Law Awards in Glasgow, hosted by Rob Rinder, the best-selling barrister turned author and television star.

The judges recognised Blackadders’ work with many of Scotland’s leading tech and video games entrepreneurs, including the creative forces behind some of the country’s most globally recognised and commercially successful products.

Kirk Dailly, head of the business services group at Blackadders, said: “This award is fantastic recognition for the team who have put in a huge amount of work in recent years to establish the firm as the leader in this sector in Scotland.

“It is a growing and fast-changing sector but one that represents new challenges every week. We enjoy working with creative teams to ensure their ideas come to life in such a way that they can enjoy global success.”

Emma Gray, joint managing partner, said: “We are absolutely delighted for Kirk and the team. There is no doubt that this success reflects everyone’s hard work and national achievements in an exciting sector.”
