The Aberdeen Law Project (ALP) successfully represented a client in a fitness to practise hearing before the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), securing a withdrawal of all allegations of impairment.

Lead advisor Samantha Tapak and the ALP team guided the client through the procedure and provided oral and written submissions throughout the process. The evidence and submissions led by Samantha resulted in the SSSC withdrawing all of the allegations of misconduct two days into the hearing.

The client said: “Samantha and the team at the Aberdeen Law Project were outstanding. Samantha showed great professionalism and understanding and was very patient as she listened attentively to me, ensuring she had all the information needed before giving sound advice on how best to proceed. I was provided with plenty of support and was kept updated throughout the process, leaving me feeling reassured and confident that I was in good hands.”

Samantha said: “I am very thankful for the outcome of this case. It is rewarding to hear the client can now move on from this, as I appreciate it has weighed on them.”
