AI and bioinformatics expert joins Haseltine Lake Kempner in Glasgow

Haseltine Lake Kempner has announced that Dr Lauris Kemp has joined the firm as a partner in its chemistry and life sciences team in Glasgow.
As an experienced UK and European patent attorney, she holds a degree in immunology and biochemistry and followed this with a PhD and postdoctoral position in computational biology.
With a strong background in biology, mathematics and computer technologies, Dr Kemp’s focus will be on assisting Haseltine Lake Kempner’s global client base protect and commercialise their bioinformatics assets with applications in fields such as genomics, proteomics, drug discovery, personalised medicine, food technology, immunobiology and microbiome research.
Dr Kemp said: “I am delighted to join HLK. They are renowned for their expert pharma, AI and opposition teams which is a perfect fit for my bioinformatics practice. I am very much looking forward to servicing clients in the digital health space from this wider specialist team.”
