Gary Mannion from the personal injury team in Dundee and Lucy Metcalf from the family law team in Edinburgh have both joined the partnership. Janice Napier has been promoted to legal director in business law within the commercial property team in Perth.

Mr Mannion studied law at Dundee University then completed his traineeship at Thorntons. He manages a team of paralegals and junior solicitors and appears at sheriff courts throughout Scotland.

Ms Metcalf has practised exclusively in litigation and has specialised in family law for the majority of her career. She joined the Thorntons’ family law team in May 2019 and is a member of the Family Law Association and of Consensus Collaboration Scotland.

Ms Napier graduated from Aberdeen University and started her career completing a traineeship with an Elgin firm. Dual qualified in Scots and English law, she is a specialist in commercial property and joined Thorntons in 2006.
