Standing Junior Counsel

The Advocate General is seeking to appoint around 5 to 10 additional Standing Junior Counsel to join the panel of Standing Junior Counsel to the Advocate General for Scotland. Appointments will run for a period of four years from appointment.

The work of a Standing Junior is varied and those appointed will have the opportunity to undertake interesting work for a range of UK Government Departments. Both advisory and litigation work will be required, however availability for appearance work is an essential requirement for appointment.
