Solicitor (Employment Team)
Starting Salary: From £47,759+ per annum, depending on experience
PQE: 3 years plus
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh
Contract:Full Time - Permanent
Hours:35 hours per week
The Employment Team at Thompsons is seeking a Solicitor to join our specialist claimant unit. Our team is dedicated to helping individuals navigate workplace disputes and assisting trade unions overcome the legal challenges inherent in modern industrial relations.
The successful candidate will work on trade union backed employment tribunal work, managing a case holding spanning the full range of employment law claims. They will deliver training to trade unions and their members on the Employment Rights Bill and the opportunities this brings for worker’s rights.
The successful candidate will aspire to undertaking meaningful and rewarding work for individual claimants. There is the chance to advance the law through work on significant appeal cases.
Our focus is on our existing cases and clients, not on business development. The works comes first: not unrealistic billing targets.
We welcome applications from solicitors with three years or more post-qualification experience.
