Solicitor – EL/PL & Clinical Negligence
Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours), Permanent

Description of Role

We are currently looking for a Solicitor to join our EL/PL & Clinical Negligence Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of personal injury cases principally arising from employers/public liability and medical negligence.
We require an ambitious and motivated lawyer with a solid traineeship and/or up to 3 years post qualifying experience in personal injury litigation, who can work autonomously while providing a first class service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to, under supervision:-
• Manage a diverse caseload of EL/PL and medical negligence claims
• Keeping up to date with legal developments and firm-wide services
Skills and Experience Required:
• A qualified solicitor with a solid traineeship and/or up to 3 years post qualifying experience in personal injury litigation
• Strong technical knowledge with a commercially focused approach
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills
• The ability to manage your own caseload while working collaboratively within a team
• Self-starting with common sense and initiative, and ability to work as a team-player working on complex matters
• Very good time and documentation management skills
• Ability to build very good relationships with clients and potential clients
• Very good research skills, including an ability to use online information sources
• High level of IT skills
• Excellent client communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Commercial awareness and applying it to each case.
