Solicitor (1 to 4 years’ PQE)

Do you find yourself wanting more from your role and to do work that truly makes a difference in people’s lives? If so, maybe it’s time for a change. Maybe it’s time to consider whether the legal work you do matters, because in the role we have for you, it really matters to the people you’ll help.
Our firm continues to go from strength to strength and, owing to continual growth, we are recruiting for a qualified solicitor that may be anything from one to four years’ PQE, or an experienced paralegal, to join our General Personal Injury Litigation (GPIL) team in Kirkcaldy, on a full-time, permanent basis. We think that you could be that solicitor/paralegal.
Based in heart of Kirkcaldy, the office is just around the corner from the sheriff court and 50 yards to the left of the pedestrianised precinct. It is easily accessible from the train station, which is a five-minute walk, and there are also two multi-storey car parks that are a short walk away. In addition, the successful candidate will benefit from Digby Brown’s flexible hybrid working policy, meaning that you would not be required to work in the office five days per week.
Digby Brown’s Kirkcaldy office is home to Fife personal injury solicitors that help people affected by:
• Motorcycle accident claims
• Road traffic accident claims
• Accident at work claims
• Fatal accidents
• Occupiers’ liability cases
As well as securing rightful compensation for these claims, which is a key consideration based on the injuries sustained by these people, you will be responsible for guiding them through one of the most traumatic times in their lives – providing support, empathy and helping them find closure.
In joining the team, you will benefit from its expertise, experience, resources, and reputation, as you embark upon an exciting new chapter in your career in a very challenging and rewarding area of PI law.
We want you to ask yourself…
• Am I an enthusiastic individual with strong, client-focused litigation skills?
• Do I have some experience in general personal injury law or civil litigation? Or have I been working in commercial litigation and am now looking to move into an area of law where I can make a real difference to clients?
• Do I have a keen eye for detail, the ability to act on my own initiative and a strong desire to help others, with the ability to display an empathetic and proactive approach in dealing with clients?
• Can I be a team player - someone who can manage their own case holding, whilst supporting others in a team with more complex cases?
If the above resonates, and helping people really matters to you, we want you to apply for this post. To do so, please send your CV and covering letter to David Hendrie, by e-mail at recruit@digbybrown.co.uk.
