Part-time 21 – 24.5 hrs per week, Thursday is a required working day; all other working days are flexible and can be agreed upon

Based at any mainland SCRA office (subject to office capacity), with hybrid working arrangements

£41,773 - £42,817 (pro rata)

The successful candidate will report to the Information Governance Manager/Data Protection Officer, and will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to staff members in our Localities and Head Office to ensure SCRA meets its obligations under UK Data Protection laws.

Educated to degree level or with significant experience in a similar role, you will ideally have knowledge and understanding of SCRA’s responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

As an excellent communicator, , you will have the proven ability to develop strong and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You must also be able to analyse complex enquiries and develop practical, proportionate solutions which balance risk, compliance and operational requirements.

The preferred candidate should hold a BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection or a similar qualification. However, we would consider applications from those who have a willingness to study and obtain this certificate within six months of commencing the role, this would be fully funded by SCRA.
