Compliance Assistant/Paralegal (Full-time)

To assist with the delivery of the wide ranging and varied legal and regulatory compliance functions within the Club to support all aspects of the organisation. This will include general administrative support, legal and regulatory filings, contract management, training, brand protection, ad-hoc project work and internal and external stakeholder liaison.

Key accountabilities will include:

Legal & Compliance

  • Provide daily administrative and general support to the Company Secretary & DPO and the Company Solicitors to include: the monitoring of inboxes, the coordination and tracking of contracts and information requests
  • Maintain legal and regulatory filings, records, compliance registers and logs
  • Manage certain contracts and internal processes (to include retail licences and brand protection)
  • Assist in the monitoring of policy compliance, training and policy updates, where relevant
  • Proactively develop effective and efficient tools to assist the Legal & Compliance team
  • Promote, develop and maintain effective, trusted and professional working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Assist (under supervision) with template commercial agreements
  • Additional responsibilities and ad-hoc projects as assigned
  • Carry out relevant research where required and keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments
  • Ensure all communications with colleagues is professional, appropriate and considerate of individual needs and circumstances
  • Actively build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across the Club, ensuring a collaborative approach is adopted at all times

Skills and Experience required:

Essential

  • Experience of working in legal administration
  • Detail orientated, self-motivated with strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of commercial contracts and confidentiality agreements
  • Strong IT literacy skills (MS365, SharePoint, Excel etc.)
  • Professional approach to work and collaborative working
  • Flexibility to prioritise, organise and manage workload

Desirable

  • Law degree or equivalent experience at a top tier firm and/or corporate legal department
  • Experience in the use of legal technology
