Our Commercial/Rural Property team is renowned for its expertise, working with a diverse client base including farmers, developers, investors, landlords, and tenants. We are seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Property/Rural Lawyer to join our team in Ayr.

The Role:

As a Commercial Property/Rural Lawyer, you will handle a varied caseload, providing high-quality legal advice on a range of commercial property matters. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex transactions and contribute to the growth of our practice and your own abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and leases.
• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and title deeds.
• Conducting due diligence and managing risk in property transactions.
• Supporting clients in farming, property development, financing, renewables and investment projects.
• Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals to ensure seamless transaction processes.
• Keeping up to date with Scottish property law and regulations.
• Assisting with Practice Development.

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor in Scotland with 2+ years of PQE in commercial property/rural law.
• Strong technical knowledge of Scottish property/rural law and conveyancing practices.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload.
• Client-focused with a commercial mindset and a proactive approach.
• Team player with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

Desirable:

• Experience in farm acquisition/sale, renewable energy, retail, or residential development property transactions would be a plus but not essential.
• Knowledge of property finance or landlord and tenant law.
