The incorporation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into Scots law was a watershed moment for children’s rights in Scotland. This placed Scotland at the forefront of children’s rights in the United Kingdom. 

Ahead of the first-year anniversary of the UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024, we will meet to discuss the UNCRC and examine the impact that it is likely to have on the treatment of children in family law and criminal law matters in Scotland.
