Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM) is saying farewell to partner Andrew Wilson who has announced his retirement following nearly four decades of service.

Mr Wilson has been with WJM since 1988, becoming a partner in 1992, and serving the firm for 37 years.

He is a highly-regarded Court of Session practitioner and also has considerable experience as an employment lawyer, acting for both employers and employees over the years. A notable career highlight was acting for the employer in one of the longest running tribunal claims ever before the Employment Tribunal in Scotland.

Fraser Gillies, managing partner at WJM, said: “Andrew’s career history speaks for itself, and he will be missed very much by all of us here at the firm.

“His knowledge and experience, and unfailing wise judgement has been invaluable – not least of all to me personally as I began my legal career working for Andrew – and since then he has helped to nurture the next generation of talent in the team. We wish him all the best in his retirement.”
