SYLA announces September events

The Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association (SYLA) calendar year is now underway for 2016/17, with a trio of events being held this month.
Next week, on 8 September, the SYLA is hosting “An Evening with McTears Auctioneers” in Glasgow. Drinks and canapes will be kindly provided by McTears Auctioneers and the event will include short presentations and interactive activities in relation to estate valuation processes and attaching value to objects.
On 15 September, the SYLA year will truly get underway with the launch of a brand new logo and website. To celebrate this, and also to kick of the new SYLA year in style, there will be an event held in Rick’s, Edinburgh. Tickets are priced at £10 per person including a delicious BBQ and welcome drink.
The first in the year’s “Spotlight on…” series will be ‘Spotlight on…Technology’ event featuring speakers from the legal teams at Skyscanner, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Vodafone. The event will take place at the offices of CMS in Glasgow on 27 September.
